Bruce Yoell Architect
Bruce is a highly experienced Architect with an established practice that has undertaken a wide and diverse range of work in Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset.
The Practice specialises in work related to historic building and conservation matters, especially on projects requiring Listed Building Consent and or Conservation Area Consent in addition to normal Planning Consents. This can include restoration, refurbishment , alterations and extensions as well as new build projects.
Projects undertaken range from small domestic extensions to listed manor houses in need of restoration. Projects have included Barn, Chapel and Mill Conversions , new uses for traditional farm complexes and one off houses.
Bruce is an ARB Registered Architect and a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) .He is a Conservation Registrant on the RIBA Conservation Register.
Over the years he has fostered good professional working relations with Local Authority Planning, Conservation and Building Control Departments as it is his policy to consult, ask and negotiate politely rather than demanding and hectoring!
He enjoys working with local builders and specialist tradesman who are experienced with working on older buildings that are in need of t.l.c where teamwork is essential
